INFORMATION ABOUT ST. MARY'S RIVER MARINE HERITAGE CENTRE
The Organization
The St. Mary’s River Marine Heritage Centre is an incorporated not-for-profit charitable organization established in 1981. The Centre is operated by a volunteer Board of Directors.
The vessel is being restored as a “living exhibit” as close as possible to its original condition as an operating passenger ship and packet freighter.

Dedicated volunteers maintain and operate the vessel. The organization is always in need of people who are willing to spend a few hours a week donating their time.
During this work the Norgoma remains open for tours and rentals.
The last few years have seen the introduction of student employees thanks to several grants from the federal and provincial governments.
The major restoration work is close to completion.
